This guide provides detailed instructions for the manual user registration process in EntraID. Follow these comprehensive steps to manually add and configure user accounts, ensuring accurate setup and effective access control within your organization. Before you begin
Ensure that you have completed the configuration in Microsoft EntraID (see Configuring Microsoft EntraID for passwordless authentication).
Registering a passkey
To register a passkey manually (administrator side)
Login to EntraID.
Switch to Users > All Users.
Select the user account.
Switch to Authentication Methods.
Click Add Authentication Method.
Select Temporary Access Pass.
(OPTIONAL) Set a delayed start time.
(OPTIONAL) Set an expiration date.
(OPTIONAL) Select One Time Use.
Click Add.
Copy the temporary access pass (TAP) and the URL and provide them to the user, who can now complete the registration on the user side (see Registration process for end users).
