A wizard to re-license OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance is available in the Configuration Tool. The system automatically detects if re-licensing is required.
To access the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Licensing wizard
- Log on to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool.
On the status screen, click the link that the system displays to initiate the licensing wizard.

Select System > License.
The Re-licensing wizard includes an additional screen that displays the current licensing information and varies slightly from the wizard to license OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance for the first time.
The Current License screen of the Re-Licensing wizard is only displayed if a license has already been uploaded and is used. Under certain conditions, time restrictions are imposed on licenses—once a specific time has elapsed, the services are stopped and only administration is possible, e.g:
- An evaluation license is valid for a limited time of 45 days.
- A grace period of 30 days is imposed, for example when replacing OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance (see Installing and licensing a replacement OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance device).
