You can configure the backup and restore functionality in the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool.
Backups allow you to save a copy of the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance database configuration settings and data. All backups are encrypted by default, but an additional passphrase can be used.
Backups can be performed in the following ways:
- Manually. Using a link in the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Configuration Tool to create a backup at any time.
- Automatically. The backup is pushed from OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance and is scheduled for specific times.
- Scripted. Another server pulls the backup from OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance.
When you copy, migrate, or back up encrypted database files, ensure that you also back up the encryption key (and/or the optional password key). Otherwise, you will not be able to read the data afterward, as it will be encrypted.
