The OneSpan Customer Portal server handles the following:

  • Licensing. This does not require direct connection to OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance. Licensing is supported through the Licensing Wizard (see Licensing).
  • Updating. This can be online, i.e. with an active connection to the OneSpan Customer Portal site, or offline (see Updating).
  • Remote support. This requires an active and direct connection or use of a proxy server.

For a direct connection between OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance and the OneSpan Customer Portal server, settings on your organization's firewall need to be adjusted. For more information about the firewall ports used by OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance Administrator Reference.

OneSpan Authentication Server Appliance must be able to resolve the OneSpan Customer Portal address (https://cp.onespan.com/) to an IP address, i.e. the DNS server settings must be properly configured (see Installation and configuration).
