# Audit Viewer

You can use the Audit Viewer application to view audit messages from the database, logs, or in real time via live connections.

Windows

To run Audit Viewer on Windows, you can use the Start menu and navigate to:

> Start > VASCO > OAS Audit Viewer

Linux

To run Audit Viewer on Linux, open a terminal window and run the following command:

> /usr/bin/dpauditviewer

dpauditviewer requires access to protected configuration files. We recommend to add the application administrator to the vasco user group, hence allowing also non-root users to run dpauditviewer correctly on all supported Linux distributions.
