# Login password options

Once OneSpan Authentication Server has been installed, you can take certain measures such as customize the password format rules to further enhance password security. Password policies are inherited (e.g. from the base policy) unless otherwise specified.

The information that must be entered during a logon will vary according to the configuration settings of the relevant policy, the logon method, and any actions to be performed during the logon.
