# Monitoring

OneSpan Authentication Server provides a couple of performance and system monitoring functions.

- Performance monitoring. This allows you to monitor specific parts of OneSpan Authentication Server processing to get performance statistics.
- Health check. This monitors the OneSpan Authentication Server service/daemon and verifies if it is available and working properly.
- System monitoring. This allows you to monitor OneSpan Authentication Server processing with SNMP to provide notifications when specific events occur.
