# Multiple roaming zones

Multiple roaming zones—where roaming wireless connections are not permitted between zones—may be established by assigning different service set identifiers (SSID) to wireless access points in different zones, and using different policies for components in each zone. The following diagram illustrates how Fast Reconnect works with an environment with multiple roaming zones.
