Rescuing Administrative User Accounts

The Rescue Administrator function allows you to gain access to an administrator account that has been locked, or to create a new user account with administrative privileges.

If you use the Rescue Administrator function to perform an administrator account rescue, the newly recovered account will be created with an administrator level of 255.

To rescue an administrative user account

1. Start the Maintenance Wizard.
2. Select Rescue Administrator and click Next.
3. Click Next on the start page.
4. Enter the user name and password to connect to the database.
5. Enter the user ID and the password twice for the administrator account to be created.
6. Click Next on the Confirmation page to start the operation. A Summary page shows the results of the administrator rescue operation.
7. Click Finish.
