# Formatting the audit message display

You can configure the appearance of the audit messages to display each type of message with a different color, background, and font.

To format the appearance of different audit message types

1. Select Tools > Options from the menu.
2. Select an audit message type from the Highlighting list.
3. Click Change Font to modify the font used to display that type of audit message.
4. Click Change Background to modify the background color used to display that type of audit message.
5. Click OK.

The display settings will be saved for the current Windows user account.
