# Secure auditing

| Field name | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Epoch Settings |
| Lines | The epoch will end after the specified number of lines has been written to the secure audit data store. |
| Time (Seconds) | The epoch will end after the specified time has elapsed. |
| Master Certificate Settings |
| The options in this section configure the certificate to calculate the cryptographic signatures for secure auditing if you are using the software security module (SSM). |
| File Name | The master certificate file name. This must be a p12 file. |
| Password | The password for the master certificate file. This must match the file set in the File Name box. It must be updated if the master certificate file is changed. |
| SafeNet HSM Master Keypair Settings |
| The options in this section configure the key used to calculate the cryptographic signatures for secure auditing if you are using a Thales ProtectServer hardware security module (HSM). |
| Private Key Label | The name of the private key to be used. |
| Private Key Access | If the private key is protected, select this box to enable the Token Label and Token PIN fields to enter the token logon details. |
| Token Label | Name of the token that contains the private key. |
| Token PIN | The access PIN for the token that contains the private key. |
