Basic Test Setup Overview

Prev Next

Before you begin

Before you begin to set up your test environment, you will need the following:

  • The encrypted DIGIPASS export file (DPX) provided with your authenticators (unless you will only use the provided demo authenticator files).
  • The transport key of the DIGIPASS export file (if using your own file).
  • The installation disk or executable.
  • OneSpan Authentication Server Installation Guide for Windows

Setup overview

Setting up a basic test environment includes the following steps:

  1. Install RADIUS Client Simulator.
  2. Install OneSpan Authentication Server.
  3. Set up OneSpan Authentication Server.
  4. Configure RADIUS Client Simulator.
  5. Configure a live audit connection.

The setup described here presumes RADIUS authentication and does therefore not apply to authentication with authenticators compliant with the multi-device licensing (MDL) model, because these authenticators require a SOAP license.

For more information about multi-device licensing, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Product Guide.
