# Local user group permissions on embedded ODBC database

If the local users group has restricted permissions on the Program Files directory, installing the embedded MariaDB database may fail. To avoid this problem, you need to assign the required permissions for the Program Files directory to the local users group:

- Read & execute
- List folder contents
- Read
