ODBC deployment considerations

If your organization is impacted by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), be aware that when selecting the embedded MariaDB during installation, you will be prompted to choose whether or not to use encryption. By selecting Yes, OneSpan Authentication Server will use data-at-rest encryption for the database, and use ODBC connection encryption by default.

When selecting the Advanced installation option and not opting for a MariaDB database, you are responsible for protecting the database and the connections to it.
