# Accepted domain

If configured, only users who are member of an accepted domain are allowed to log on. Accepted domains are defined on the policy settings (see [Identifying the client component record](/sec/docs/oas-pg-identifying-the-client-component-record-3-28)). The user domain is compared to the defined accepted domain, and if they do not match access is denied. This can be used together with the default domain (see [Default domain](/sec/docs/oas-pg-default-domain-3-28)).

For more information about how domains are resolved, see [User ID and domain resolution](/sec/docs/oas-pg-user-id-and-domain-resolution-3-28).
