ODBC data stores

OneSpan Authentication Server includes an embedded MariaDB database, which you can use as a data store. You can also use another ODBC-compliant database instead. For an overview of the supported ODBC DBMS, refer to the OneSpan Authentication Server Administrator Guide.

OneSpan Authentication Server stores the following information in the ODBC data store:

  • User accounts
  • Authenticator and authenticator application records
  • Authenticator configuration records (policies, components, back-end servers, reports, and report formats)
  • OneSpan Authentication Server configuration information

When you copy, migrate, or back up encrypted database files, ensure that you also back up the encryption key (and/or the optional password key). Otherwise, you will not be able to read the data afterward, as it will be encrypted.
