A keyword is entered in the password field during a user login when a user needs to request a certain login method. OneSpan Authentication Server can be configured to recognize the keyword and associate it with a specific login method.
Situations where keywords may be needed:
- User with multiple authenticators assigned
- User with one authenticator assigned, with multiple authenticator applications enabled
- User with at least one authenticator and a primary Virtual Mobile Authenticator assigned
- User with at least one authenticator and backup Virtual Mobile Authenticator enabled
- Server set up to allow multiple login methods
These login methods can have a keyword set:
- 2-step challenge/response
- 1-step challenge/response
- Virtual DIGIPASS
Restrictions
The keyword must not exceed 16 characters.
This field will be disabled if:
- Your privileges are not sufficient to make changes to policy information.
- The authentication server is not licensed for Virtual Mobile Authenticator.
- The Request Method list for the login method is set to an option that does not require a keyword.
