Introduction
Create an External Authentication Method to allow your end users to authenticate with passwords or other authentication methods not currently supported by Nok Nok. An External Authentication Method can only be used during Adaptive Authentication or Quick Authentication.
There are two types of External Authentication Methods and both are described in this section. Choose the one that is best for your application and your application server.
If your client app verifies the user and generates a JWT, configure a JWT External Authentication Method. The JWT External Authentication Method is general purpose and can be used to implement authentication methods that may or may not involve passwords.
If your client app sends a password to the Nok Nok API Server for verification, configure a Password External Authentication Method.
