This flowchart illustrates steps for troubleshooting ASM integrations. Details for each test follow the flowchart.
In this real-world example, Digipass S3 provided a customer with a special debug build of the FIDO UAF Client for Android and a UAF PIN ASM to help them troubleshoot issues they encountered when integrating their app with a new ASM (referred to here as "ASM Under Test"):
Test 1
Configure the Tutorial App settings to use the remote client (i.e. the debug FIDO UAF Client). Try registration using the UAF PIN ASM. Was it successful?
If NO, then there might be a Tutorial App configuration issue, a FIDO UAF Client issue, an issue connecting to the NNL evaluation server, or an issue with the NNL evaluation server configuration. Proceed to Test 2.
If YES, then we know the Tutorial App configuration works, the FIDO UAF Client works, and the NNL evaluation server connection works. The problem is related to the ASM Under Test.
Test 2
Configure Tutorial App to use the local client (embedded in Tutorial App). Try registration using the UAF PIN ASM. Was it successful?
If NO, then there might be a Tutorial App configuration issue, an issue connecting to the NNL evaluation server, or an issue with the NNL evaluation server configuration.
If YES, then we know the Tutorial App configuration works, the local FIDO UAF Client works, and the NNL evaluation server connection and configuration works. Proceed to Test 3.
Test 3
Ensure Tutorial App is configured to use the local client (embedded in Tutorial App). Try registration using the ASM Under Test. Was it successful?
If NO, then there might be a Tutorial App configuration issue, an issue connecting to the NNL evaluation server, an issue with the NNL evaluation server configuration, or an issue with the ASM Under Test.
If YES, then there may be an issue with the debug FIDO Client.
