Upgrading from 7.0.2 to 8.0.1

This section contains a list of changes to help upgrade your app from the 7.0.2 version of the iOS App SDK to the 8.0.1 version.

• Set the version number in the TutorialAppPlus/TutorialAppPlus/config.json file to "8.0.1" to match the SDK version.

• iOSSystemUtils::stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString() was moved to nnl_utils.h as a standalone function to avoid using C++ iOSSystemUtils from the public header. Make the following changes to files containing this call:

  • In headers, replace <nnl_util/iOSSystemUtils.h> with <nnl_util/nnl_util.h>

  • Remove iOSSystemUtils:: before the stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString call

• C++ AutoProgressIndicator class from <nnl_util/AutoProgressIndicator.h> was converted to Objective C interface and moved to ProgressIndicator.h. The interface declaration was moved.

  • Remove the following from headers
    #import <nnl_util/AutoProgressIndicator.h>
    ProgressIndicator.h is already imported.

  • For AutoProgressIndicator declarations, replace:
    AutoprogressIndicator progress;
    with:
    AutoProgressIndicator *progress = [[AutoprogressIndicator alloc] init];
    [progress suppressNotUsedWarning];

• The ISuggestRegisterFactory interface was removed. Use the liveData controller model for suggest registration functionality.

• The AppSDKPlus::suggestRegister() and AppSDKPlus::resetSuggestRegister() methods were moved to the NNLAdaptiveUI class.

• The inFrame argument was removed from AdaptiveUI::getRegistrationView API.
  Replace lines that use the inFrame argument. For example:
  UIViewController* vc = [ui getRegistrationView:app.authData.sessionData inFrame:mRegisterView.bounds withExtras:nil]
  
  to
  UIViewController* vc = [ui getRegistrationView:app.authData.sessionData withExtras:nil];

• BiometricContext C++ class was converted to an Objective C interface. Replace
  BiometricContext::setDelegate(nil);
  with
  [BiometricContext setDelegate:nil];

• An extras argument was added to AppSDKPlus::manageRegistrations() and manageRegistrations()'s return type changed from UIView to UIViewController.

• Because the App SDK supports the FIDO2 protocol, add the AuthenticationServices system framework to your project.
  
  Go to the General tab and manually add AuthenticationServices Framework in the Frameworks, Libraries, and Embedded Content section.
