Vendors frequently release new authenticators or update existing ones. In addition, vulnerabilities may be discovered in existing authenticators, requiring that their use be limited or phased out. This information is stored in the FIDO Metadata Service hosted by the FIDO Alliance. Only the Metadata Service 3 (MDS3) is supported.
