Adding your Android application to the Authentication Cloud

Add your Android application

  1. Login to the Digipass S3 Authentication Cloud portal.

  2. Make sure you are on the right tenant and locate the Authentication Cloud tile. Click Configure Server.

  3. Navigate to Configuration > Apps. Click Add App.

  4. Choose Android and click Add.

Configure your Android application

  1. The App dialog will appear with the following fields and options:
    Configuration settings for an Android app including keys and project details.

    • Package Name/URL (e.g., android:com.acme.android.myandroidapp)
      This name cannot be changed.

    • App Name (e.g., My Android App)
      The app name displayed in the Server Console.

    • Facet ID          

      • FIDO UAF
        Check this if you have configured the server to accept a UAF authentication method.              

        • FIDO UAF Facet ID (e.g., android:apk-key-hash:SvYZ4Sgas9T2+6DpNj566iscuns)

      • FIDO2/WebAuthn
        Check this if you have configured the server to accept a FIDO2 authentication method.              

        • FIDO2 Facet ID (e.g., android:apk-key-hash:8cA1DPNUQmAhS1Zrtmo5GGJYASRiYUH6vp_OPBpoKIg)

    • Adaptive Ruleset (e.g., default)
      Sets the authentication flow based on the user's device and their response to challenges.

    • Play Integrity Configurations
      Check this if you are using Google's Play Integrity service to guarantee the validity of your Android app when it connects to the authentication server.

      • Project Number

      • APK Signing Certificate SHA256 Digests

      • Decrypt and Verify              

        • Locally: Decryption Key / Handle, Verification Key / Handle

        • Remotely: Service Account Key (Upload File / Handle)

    • Supported OOB Modes:          

      • Push Notification              

        • Google Push Service (FCM): FCM Sender ID, FCM HTTP Key (Upload File / Handle)

      • QR Code
        Specifies that a QR code will be sent to the user in case of out-of-band authentication.

    • Old Package Names
      Enter the previous name if it has changed. If the package has been renamed multiple times, enter all previous names separated by commas.

  2. Once you have filled in the settings, click Save.

  3. Your Android app should now appear in the Apps page.
