Adding your iOS application to the Authentication Cloud

Add your iOS application

  1. Login to the Digipass S3 Authentication Cloud portal.

  2. Make sure you are on the right tenant and locate the Authentication Cloud tile. Click Configure Server.

  3. Navigate to Configuration > Apps. Click Add App.

  4. Choose iOS and click Add.

Configure your iOS application

  1. The App dialog will appear with the following fields and options:
    Configuration settings for an iOS app including package name and team ID.

    • Package Name/URL (e.g., ios:com.acme.ios.myiosapp)
      This name cannot be changed.

    • App Name (e.g., My iOS App)
      The app name displayed in the Server Console.

    • Facet ID          

      • FIDO UAF
        Check this if you have configured the server to accept a UAF authentication method.              

        • FIDO UAF Facet ID (e.g., ios:bundle-id:com.acme.ios.myiosapp)

      • FIDO2/WebAuthn
        Check this if you have configured the server to accept a FIDO2 authentication method.              

        • FIDO2 Facet ID (e.g., ios:bundle-id:com.acme.ios.myiosapp)

    • Team ID (e.g., SG9R4B6BLT)
      Add this if your app uses Apple App Attest.

    • Adaptive Ruleset (e.g., default)
      Sets the authentication flow based on the user's device and their response to challenges.

    • Supported OOB Modes:          

      • Push Notification              

        • Use Token Signing Key: Upload File / Handle for Token Signing Key / Key ID

        • Use APNs Certificate: Upload APNs Certificate / APNs Certificate Password or Handle / Use APNs Production Server

      • QR Code
        Specifies that a QR code will be sent to the user in case of out-of-band authentication.

    • Old Package Names
      Enter the previous name if it has changed. If the package has been renamed multiple times, enter all previous names separated by commas.

  2. Once you have filled in the settings, click Save.

  3. Your iOS app should now appear in the Apps page.

  4. Verify that the facet ID was added by performing a client registration. If the facet ID was not correctly added, you will see an error (4402).
