Import DIGIPASS from DPX wizard

Use the Import DIGIPASS (DPX) wizard to import and set up the DIGIPASS export file (DPX).

Available via DIGIPASS > Import DPX.

Before you start the wizard, you must have the following:

  • a valid DIGIPASS export file (DPX)
  • a matching transport key

Upload File

Use this page to specify the import file and its corresponding transport key.

Get DPX fileClick Browse to search for the DPX file to upload.

Basic

Use this mode to specify a basic transport key.

Transport Key

This is the basic transport key represented by a hexadecimal string with up to 32 characters (128 bit).

Advanced

Use this mode to enter an advanced type transport key, consisting of up to five key components.

No. Key ComponentsSelect the number of components of the advanced transport key from the drop-down list.
Key Component #<X>Enter each key component (hexadecimal string with up to 32 characters) in its corresponding input field. Verify the key check value (KCV) to avoid input issues.

After specifying the DPX file and its transport key, click Upload to upload the file.

Applications

Use this page to select the applications to import from the DPX file uploaded via the previous page.

Field nameDescription
Upload FileThe name of the DPX file.
Application NameThe name of each authenticator application found in the DPX file.
Application TypeThe application type of each authenticator application found in the DPX file (see Table: Application types).

Select the application that you want to import by selecting its checkbox, or click Select All to select all of the applications.

You must select at least one application.

Options

This page allows you to specify additional import options.

Field nameDescription
Application nameThe name of each authenticator application to be imported.
Application typeThe application type of each authenticator application to be imported (see Table: Application types).
DP application state

Specifies the initial state of the authenticator applications after they have been imported:

  • Import new DIGIPASS application as ACTIVE. The imported authenticator applications will initially be set as active.
  • Import new DIGIPASS applications as INACTIVE. The imported authenticator applications will initially be set as inactive.
DomainThe domain into which the authenticator records should be imported.
Organizational UnitThe organizational unit into which the authenticator records should be imported.
Upgrade existing DIGIPASS with activation codes from new DPX file

Select this checkbox to update existing authenticator records with data from the DPX file.

This option is disabled for authenticators in the multi-device licensing/multi-device activation mode when the DPX file includes authenticator licenses. This applies when the list of authenticator applications to be imported includes an application of type MA (master activation application).

Reserve new DIGIPASS for individual assignment onlySelect this checkbox to reserve the newly created authenticator records for individual assignment only. This means that the imported authenticator records will not be available for bulk assign operations.

Schedule Task

Enter details to schedule this task.

Field nameDescription
Run immediately

Runs the task now. This will lock the Administration Web Interface session. You will not be able to perform other operations until the task has finished.

Run in background

Runs the task in the background without locking the Administration Web Interface session. You will be able to perform other operations in the Administration Web Interface. It will also allow you to schedule and run the task at a later time.

Notify me of completion by

Specifies whether and how to send notifications when completing the task.

Possible values:

  • None
  • Email
  • SMS

Click Next to start importing from the DPX file. The command schedules a server task that processes the authenticator data.
