The Server Needs a New Database Password

Update the following files with the new database password:

  • <MFAS_HOME/admin/conf/nnl-db.properties
  • Database connection properties section in <MFAS_HOME>/admin/conf/application.properties

  • <TOMCAT_HOME>/bin/setenv.sh

Passport App Fails with the Error "No Internet Connection"

  • Verify that the Admin Server is configured with a valid CA-issued TLS certificate.

A CA-issued TLS certificate is required because Android and iOS devices require TLS communication with the server. Passport App, which is required for Admin Console access, depends on the mobile device's OS to verify that a certificate is trusted. The latest Android/iOS devices do not trust self-signed certs, even if these are manually imported as a trusted certificate. You might not be able to test with the devices if the server is not running on HTTPS.

  • Check that you assigned the correct registration and authentication endpoints to the Registration and Authentication URLs, respectively. See Step 1. Configure the Auth Server in Configure Out-of-band Authentication.

Passport gets the URL of the registration or authentication endpoint from the QR Code. If the URL is invalid or belongs to a Server that denies Passport's connection request, you see this error.

403: Access Forbidden

This error occurs if your web app has a different web origin (this is its facet ID) from the API Server and you didn't add a URL to the API Server's web client origin allow list. For instructions, see Configure Apps.

4402 Security Exception, Facet ID is not Listed

Check that you added your app in the Admin Console. For instructions, see Configure Apps.
