Installation Errors

Installation error message: Failed to configure database for MFAS. Failed to connect or authenticate to the DB server.

1. Check if the Server database was created on the database server.

2. Review configuration parameters in the nnl-install.properties file.

3. Verify the database ports and service(s) are configured, running, and allowing connections.

4. Verify database usernames and passwords are correct by authenticating manually into the database. If necessary, re-encrypt the database passwords and re-run the script

Failed to Decrypt the DB password. Tag mismatch!

This error occurs when there's a mismatch between the custom encryption key and the value assigned to the NNL_PKEY variable.

• Check that you performed Step 4. Encrypt Credentials Used by the Server after you updated nnl-install.properties file but before you installed the product.

• Check if you assigned the custom password encryption key to the NNL_PKEY environment variable.

• If you were running as root, check if the root user's profile contains this assignment.

• You created a new custom password encryption key after you encrypted your database user passwords and Firebase Cloud Messaging server key.

Web page won’t load

1. Check the Tomcat status
   
   ps auxwww | grep tomcat

2. Verify Tomcat is running and locally accessible:
   
   curl -k https://localhost:8443

3. Ensure that only one copy of the Server is installed.

4. Check firewall rules, for example, to accept TCP port 8443. To do this, perform one of these tasks:

• Run the following command and follow the instructions as per the output window:
  
  system-config-firewall-tui

• Or add the following statement to /etc/sysconfig/iptables before the COMMIT line:
  
  -A INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 8443 -j ACCEPT
