Manage a UI configuration

The Application, Select Platform, Select Language, and Select Region dropdown menus always indicate the UI configuration file that you are managing. If you already have a UI configuration file in the cloud for the currently selected Application or Cloud Console, platform, language and region, there is a blue filename link under the label UI Configuration.

You can make changes and click Save to store any changes to the current tenant in the cloud.

If you don't already have a UI configuration file in the cloud for the currently selected application or Cloud Console, platform, language and region, there is no blue filename link under the label UI Configuration. You have two choices:

  • Create a new UI configuration file in the cloud simply by making changes to the configuration displayed and clicking Save.

  • Click Import to bring a specific configuration file from your local computer into the UI Customizer. and click Save. Any imported file remains unchanged on your local computer.

The Customizer saves your changes to the UI Configuration file in the cloud for the currently selected Application or Cloud Console, platform, language and region. The name of this UI Configuration file in the cloud is displayed as a blue link under the label UI Configuration. To discard any changes that you made to your configuration since the last time you saved, click Discard Changes.

Download a configuration

Choose from the dropdown menus to indicate the Application, Platform, Language and Region for the configuration that you want to download to your local computer. You must be able to see the file's name as a blue link, which indicates that the configuration file already exists in your tenant in the cloud. Right click the blue link to download the file.

Configuration filenames

If you modify the UI Configuration settings and then download to your local computer, the UI Customizer names the JSON UI configuration file based on the language and region that you have selected. If you have not selected a language, the filename is:

    ui_cfg.json

If you have selected a language but no region, the filename is:

    ui_cfg_<language>.json

If you have selected a language and a region, the filename is:

    ui_cfg_<language>-<region>.json

Where <language> is the ISO language code and <region> is the ISO region code
